Frank Mirabile, Jr. has demonstrated Political Courage by telling citizens where he stands on the issues he may face if elected.
| Pro-life | Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation? | ||
| I support pro-life legislation. Personal responsibility is paramount to the health of a free nation. Is the health of the mother the real concern of Planned Parenthood? or is it their mission to control populations by pushing their distorted view of choice onto everyone . Under PPACA, all taxpayers will be forced to pay for abortion, abortifacients and birth control. Americans will now be forced to violate their conscious because of government mandates that encourage the termination of innocent life. If you support "choice" - you pay for it and you live with the loss. | |||
| Yes | Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan? | ||
| No | Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan? | ||
| I support our military. Our military commanders should have full expression and influence over the field of operations. Our President has no clear mission for our presence in Afghanistan and is consistently undermining and subverting our efforts through extremely restrictive rules of engagement and contradictory public statements. The result is that 70% of the deaths in that "war" have occurred since Obama's "Surge" in 2009. Congress has declared no war. If we're not in to win it, we need to get our troops out. No timetable - especially one publicized for all the enemy to plan around. | |||
Indicate which proposals you support (if any) for balancing the federal budget.In order to balance the budget,
| No | do you support reducing defense spending? | ||
| No | do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket? | ||
| Yes | do you support reducing Medicaid spending? | ||
| Yes | do you support reducing Medicare spending? | ||
| Yes | Is balancing the budget a legislative priority? | ||
| Reform ALL entitlement programs - 2012 they account for 62% of the budget and the obligations are increasingly becoming unsustainable. Contrast that to total Defense Spending, 19% - which accounts for less than 5% of GDP and represents an absolute floor for the costs of operational integrity. It covers National Security, defense of national territory, NASA, International Affairs, Veterans Affairs, and Counter-terrorism to name a few. Grow the economy, balance the budget and reduce the reliance on and cost of government social programs. | |||
| No | Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions? | ||
| I support the 1st Amendment. I would entertain some regulation if public sector unions were not allowed to use taxpayer monies against the taxpayer. | |||
| No | Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||
| Yes | Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation? | ||
| No | Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation? | ||
| No | Do you support the temporary extension of unemployment benefits? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief? | ||
| Federal spending does not promote TRUE economic growth. I support infrastructure projects for the maintenance and expansion of efficient commerce, which helps provide the network for economic growth - not as a means of "job creation". By extending unemployment benefits congress, draining the unemployment insurance trust fund, left the bill to be paid by the very employers who they expect to hire. Writing another IOU does nothing to bring the economy back, but simply drains capital from and the ability of job creators to hire again. Retain and reform - lower the rates, simplify the code and broaden the base. | |||
| No | Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants? | ||
| Get the federal government OUT of funding and dictating education. Keep the money and effort in the states with local government and citizen control. Creative education and learning specific to localized needs is best handled by those in teaching the class. Lets reduce the number of "six figure plus" education bureaucrats and invest in our local teachers and students. | |||
| Yes | Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production? | ||
| All available public and private lands that can produce energy should be in play. It's American energy and we have an equal right to access American energy reserves on public lands just as those who want to starve our nation and restrict our access on public lands. Let's put Americans to work creating American energy solutions which reduce the cost burdens on American commerce, families and the economy. I'm for an "all of the above" as well as an "all of the below" energy solution. Renewable energy solutions are exciting and emerging but lets not go broke going green. | |||
| No | Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change? | ||
| No | Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions? | ||
| Global Climate change is not something humans can directly influence on a scale large enough to influence global climate shift. Our climate is directly affected by our sun's solar cycles, volcanic activity and other naturally occurring events as evidenced by extensive scientific research in Earth Sciences. Should we be good stewards of the land? Absolutely. We have the resources and ever evolving technology to reduce pollution and the negative effects of urban blight. However, Eco-Activism should NOT take precedent over humanity. "Save-the-earth" should not mean "Plunder the People" After all there are only so many naturally occurring caves to inhabit. | |||
| No | Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns? | ||
| I support the 2nd Amendment. I also support citizens getting top-notch training from their local police departments, national guard, and other private instructional institutions. I support the right to carry and state to state reciprocity. | |||
| Yes | Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act? | ||
| Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act? | |||
| No explanation necessary. The ACA is NOT about health care. It's solely about control of every aspect of our lives by unaccountable bureaucrats and politicians, with the IRS as enforcer. Why would anyone want an IRS agent, a bureaucrat or panel, a politician, a president and then the insurance company between you and your doctor? We need to return to a true insurance model. Break the state and national barriers for insurance purchases. Competition will produce the most effective and efficient health care in the world. A single payer health care system is no choice at all. | |||
| No | Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? | ||
| Yes | Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police? | ||
| Immigration laws need to be reformed to reflect the complexity of the current situation. Illegals should apply for green cards, work visas and proper documentation to be in compliance with our laws. The process is onerous for those who follow the rules and should be reformed. Amnesty in any form penalizes those who follow the rules. We should know who is in our country. | |||
| No | Do you support same-sex marriage? | ||
| I support traditional marriage and its definition. Redefining the truth to perpetuate relativism opens the door for yet more definitions. Where would it end? | |||
| Yes | Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict? | ||
| No | Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon? | ||
| Who are the terrorists and what is the government's definition? I would support capturing suspected terrorists for questioning, but not indiscriminately killing them, as Obama is doing with his drone program. As defined by his program, even Americans could be suspect and targeted for termination without due process. There are numerous ways to prevent Iran from possessing a nuc. Military force should be on the table, but as a last option. If Iran attacks our allies, we are obligated to respond with any and all force necessary. | |||
| Yes | Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts? | ||
| Privatize a portion and keep the politicians from spending the remainder. The Social Security trust fund has been consistently robbed by politicians over the years, recklessly spending our money, money that we were/are mandated to contribute, leaving only an IOU for future generations to pay. The tech-savvy generations of the 21st century should have an opt-out. Existing beneficiaries should have their promises honored. | |||

| All research and history demonstrates that lower taxes produce more economic growth, jobs, more revenue for fed, state and local governments, and more personal wealth and opportunity than any other program of government. We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. Lower the rates, broaden the base. | |||
